Are there things you try to practice daily to live a more sustainable lifestyle?
Drink enough water – at least 8 glasses a day. It helps me to function better mentally and physically. I replaced juice and wine with water for my health.
Prayer and meditation – I have practiced prayer and meditation since I was eight years old. I love it. It brings me peace and guidance. I have explored many different forms of meditation and contemplation, breath work and mindfulness, visualization and intentions. I am 60 years old; I have had a long time to explore and experiment.
Exercise – pilates, hill walking and home exercise, including stretch, yoga and aerobics.
Housework – whatever it takes to make my life more organized without being over obsessed.
Making sacred space for myself – my private space of mind and body to do whatever brings me joy and new ideas.
Food as medicine – I eat “clean” food that will sustain a healthy body and lifestyle.
Creative activity – whatever expresses and communicate my authenticity in the moment.
Write or journal – for me the act of writing is like a muscle that needs to be exercised regularly.
Practice gratitude and joy – the practice of gratitude is the beginning of finding joy. Finding joy requires of me: to not take life or oneself too seriously. The opposite is true too, taking life and myself too seriously makes me dull and sad.
Relationships and connections – I value respect, honesty, kindness and awareness in my daily relationships. It is a way of honoring God, myself, others and the earth more fully.
Recycling and upcycling – this is only one way to take care of the earth. I believe my respect of the earth grows when I am mindful of what I am doing and practice my daily practices.
I am no Saint. I fall short many times but these are my ideals.
Be right back with a warm smile x

You are welcome. It was fun putting it together, but I forgot about fostering a healthy circadian rhythm… Probably because it’s such a challenge for me to go to bed on time ππ€«

Yes, much of what you mention here is also important to me. I think as we get older, one realises that you have a responsibility towards yourself to live healthy – physically and mentally.
