If a crafter crafts and does not post about it, did they craft at all?

I share this post, not only for crafters and artists but, to many of you who might find Ellie’s self reflection and questions thought provoking. It touches on social media, eg., blogging amongst other things, the “WHY” we do it and the question “what brings us joy?”

I hope you find it thought provoking.

  1. I feel the same way. I know I could use the extra money but I would rather make people happy or think about things. I started writing in 2009 with a group of friends. We shared stories of our lives or problems. I had always felt like I didn’t have anything of interest to other people. But in this group, people responded and enjoyed my stories about my grandmothers and other topics. It made me so happy to know that others enjoyed my stories. So the next step was blogging. I started blogging in 2012.

  2. It’s good to ask ourselves these questions. I started blogging to support others through what I’ve gleaned from my professional life, but have partly continued because I enjoyed reading others’ posts. I also enjoy the community aspect of blogging and interacting, from time to time, with other bloggers.

    • Thank you for your comment and sharing; it is amazing how things can morph along the way. I originally started a blog (not this one) for professional reasons too but I enjoy this blog far more. I also enjoy the community and interaction πŸ‘πŸ’•
