    One of the first places we visited was Sidney which is located at the southern most tip of Vancouver Island on the Saanich Peninsula. I am aware that one can do a fair amount of island hopping from here but we came here specifically to buy winter jackets because coming from South Africa we weren’t as well equipped with jackets. Clearly we didn’t need them on this particular day but it would be ideal for our 5 day trip we were planning for the Icefields Parkway. And of course you can’t keep me away from the water’s edge, hence all the photos.
