Wishing You All the Best for 2024

I really hope that you all experience the very best things for 2024, that you make wise choices and that the world will be a happier and more peaceful place. I am sorry if I have missed some of your posts recently as we have been celebrating Christmas with family and packing at the same time.

Our House

Our news is that we are not moving directly to our new house yet, as it is still not finished but tomorrow we move to a rented place, 2 minutes away. We will stay there for two months. This means there will be a lot less driving involved whenever Derek wants to work on the house. He will be able to juggle between working on his business and the house more easily. We are also hoping my health will improve.

I have realized that once we move into our final home, this year, we will have moved four times in two years. Derek, Ellie, our daughter and her husband have been working on the downstairs flooring. You can see them laying the underfloor insulation under the joists and laying conduit for electrical wiring. You will also see the planks cut and ready, the next layer of insulation being laid and lastly the planks screwed down by Ellie. The videos are Ellie’s. Now what is the cylinder doing under the floorboards? Any guesses?

What is holding us up?

The thing that is holding us up now is that we are waiting for the engineer’s drawing design for the window replacements and finding a builder to do the work. Once the windows are in we can put the final flooring layer in and move in. I hope this will be within the next month or two as we are cutting things fine.

Looking forward to health, peace and wise choices! And much more writing.

    • Thank you so much. We have moved into a temporary place which is much warmer and less damp and so things are taking an upward turn. Looks like my husband is working at a plan for us to move in even sooner. So I am very much hoping. Happy 2024 to you too ❤️🙋‍♀️
