Speechless

My heart is filled with grief for the world
I walk a balancing of caring until it hurts
And blocking the pain out
What this world needs is not peace
It needs Love
What will peace mean if there’s no Love
We can pray for peace
But Peace can be a shirade
Where hidden underneath we at best
Pretend
At worst we seethe and foster hate.
If there’s no Love
there’s no lasting peace.
Humans are their own worst enemy.
When it says love your neighbour as you love yourself
How do we love?

I pray
‘humanity turn to God and ask for help urgently ‘

I wish I had platitudes but that’s not the way I am. Take care of those around you.

  8. This beautiful poem comes at just the right time, carrying a tender emotion straight from your heart. I wholeheartedly echo your poignant lines:
    “If there’s no Love
    there’s no lasting peace.”

    Tariffs and boycotts can never pave the way to harmony. True and lasting peace can only arise from love — and even more love. Peaceful coexistence has no other foundation.👌👌🥰

  9. People should learn with Jesus example of love and compassion, he loved the Father and the Father loved him, moreover, They both loved the people. So, it is a must love, be kind and graceful to each others too.

  10. Oh Morag, … I felt every word of your poem, I’ve said this time and time again, In poetry, to myself, and to anyone who will listen… What has happened to this world? No, in fact, it’s not the world, The World is perfect, without us the world would be perfect, But no, it’s the spirit inside some people, they seem to have a need to hurt, maim, kill, It must be a choice inside them, my friend, … And I choose to send out love, as you do, as an antidote, a message to stop the hate, the violence, … Thank you for visiting, I kept looking out for any updates from you, I always like to check, … Take care, my friend, And Keep your spirits up, … There are surely Many more people who feel as we do, Sending out a message, to ‘stop, think, And for goodness sake, keep your hate to yourself, ’ ….💙

    • What has happened to the world? Such a good question. You are right it is the spirit inside some people that have a need to hurt and maim. I am happy to hear that you too choose to send out love into the world.
