Almost winter's
Shortest day
The frost lies
On the leeward face.
As the low sun traverses
Along the rolling hill tops
Barely making it before noon
And exiting just as soon.
Sun goes down
Mist rolls in
We're set for
Another Long
Night
It is
14.40
I thought I wouldn’t post again till January but I had a bit of spare time after a busy morning. Poems are my way of resting the heart and sharing my awareness and appreciation of things around me — sharing with you is how I like to stay in touch.
Cheerio,
And Haste ye back.
Morag
You always have such lovely scenes and relaxing words.

A lovely little poem! Oddly enough, it’s going to be quite warm here for winter this year, so reading about the winter chill may be as close as I get to it!

Thank you π well I hope you enjoy the weather but that you still get rain. What time of the year does it rain there? Summer or winter? I’ve never been to America but I believe Florida is quite hot and humid in summer. Is that correct? My husband and daughter went for a business show near Disneyland.

We generally get quite a bit of rain here in North Florida year round, but this was a dry year. Central and South Florida is where the heat and humidity reside, we’re a bit more temperate here. A lot of forests, hills, sink holes, natural springs, and even some caves!

So lovely to have another glimpse into your world Morag.
I can’t believe its almost midsummer here!
It took ages to get to midwinter but midsummer came quickly!
Greg passed away about 10 days after midwinter on 2 July.

The changing of the seasons is wonderful, one of our cycles we enjoy. Almost 6 months have passed since Greg passed away. You must still be feeling the pain of an absent family member. Such a gentle man. Hugs
