Self care is uppermost in my mind at the moment. Often I get distracted by other people’s needs. I believe it is good to consider others and care for them but not at the expense of one’s own integrity and authenticity.
With covid 19 impacting our world and most of humanity suffering in different ways I am aware, as in Marlow’s hierarchy of needs (physiological, safety, love, esteem, and self-actualization), that many of us are worrying about our need for love, safety, money, food and housing; and so our esteem and self care might not really be a concern right now. Our self esteem and self care continue to be important even if we are not aware of it.
Enjoy your day, take care of your selves.
Thank you Morag!
