M. Noffke. Mushrooms in my garden, Morag Noffke.
Here is my little colony of mushrooms; a surprise find in my garden. They are like my thoughts and ideas mushrooming and popping up in my head. I like walking in forests because I find interesting things to draw. Forest photography and forest bathing are some of my favorite things too.
Living under lock-down or being sick in bed has confined my movements so I am happy with my little colony just outside my door. I used to believe that fairies lived under mushrooms and toadstools. It brings the little girl out in me who still believes in magic, seeing a cluster of mushrooms – like fairy land.
“I do believe in fairies I do, I do” – Peter Pan
I am not fond of eating or cooking mushrooms because of their smell but I eat them anyway because they are good for me.
Have a lovely weekend.
Love your photos. The mushrooms look magical.

I was crouching right down and then held the camera even lower hoping for the best. I definitely don’t eat the ones I grow in the garden. I was always told as a child that they are poisonous. I would be to afraid that they were poisonous and wouldn’t enjoy my meal. 😄

My inner child likes your inner child. I love mushrooms too. But I like them in salads, cooked and grilled with other foods. Have a wonderful day!
