What is one thing you would change about yourself?

When I look into your eyes
I feel I don't need to change a thing 
I feel alright 
Because of you 

When I hear your kind words 
I know that you accept me as I am 
I am alright and
I know you know it too

But if I had a magic pill
I would go back 
And visit my youth 
Just this once

I would not right the wrongs 
They are part of who I am but
Exchange my lungs
For healthy ones 
That's what I would Change
Not just for you 
I would do it for myself
To be free 

But this illness keeps me humble 
I learnt that when I was young 
Never invincible 
Always fallible 

But when I look into your eyes 
I feel I don't need to change a thing 
I am alright
Because of you 

You love me as I am.

  3. You are right. The only thing about you that needs changing is your lungs, but they are the one thing you have little control over. Take good care of them. You are alive and being careful on their behalf. Keep on loving and caring for them and yourself. You are worthy, my friend.

    • Thank you so much for your wishes. Last winter I coped fine. This winter seems like one on going saga for my lungs, but it’s hard to tell why I am struggling. Seems a bit cyclical. I trust it will be just about adjustment and transitions to the climate. Thank you again, you keep safe and well too. 🙏🤗🌹🙋‍♀️
