My Cup Runneth Over.

Are you seeking security or adventure?

As a sexagenarian I have lived enough to say that I have experienced both security and adventure. Here’s my response to this question in poetic form.

I have had enough time
for adventure
and I have security.
What I would like routine,
just enough to feel
that my feet are still
on the ground.
I would like time,
just enough
to savor the moments.
Too much adventures
and you loose your footing.
Too much security
and you loose your heading.
I want my heart
to be soft and flexible,
my voice
to be gentle and kind
and my intuition
to be sensitive and wise.
I want to do more good than harm.

I hope you are well, my apologies for not keeping up with reading your blogs. It has been four months since I blogged. Much has transpired and life remains busy. I would like to try to be more regular at blogging again. We will see how it goes.

Take care x

  1. There are so many blessings that may come to those of us who love life and appreciate the fact that our days may be limited. That is all the more reason to seek the joy, beauty, friendship, and times of happiness. Loved your poem.
