As I took my early morning walk and my feet crunched through the dry leaves that had fallen I thought about how it is Autumn for me - going on for Winter; while it is Spring - coming out of Winter for some friends of mine in the Northern hemisphere. I decided I would like to share with you my contemplative thoughts about Winter.

I am on fire: breast surgery recovery.
They say 4 – 6 weeks recovery time. I am glad someone cautioned me that in reality it takes a body much longer to recuperate to normality.

Our African trip: Eating simply
Our trip was in 2013 but these days what with global warming, carbon emissions and the like we would want to consider the amount of animal protein we eat and what we would replace it with. What we considered eating simply then would not be what we consider it to be now. This would make a very interesting discussion if anyone would like to comment.
Facing my fear of surgery, 4th September 2012
I definitely felt that if I didn’t think about cancer it wouldn’t happen to me. This is magical thinking. I had an irrational fear that if I contemplated cancer I would somehow open myself up to it.
We are like two sides of a coin: creative exercise.
