What brings you peace?
What is true peace? Not the type of peace attained By placating, eating, or addiction Dulling the senses in senseless ways. These to me are fleeting states. What brings me peace Lies within Grace Good relationships with those I love, Those in my Community, with the Earth and God above.
If I feel dis-regulated, Ill at ease, chaotic or unpeaceful I take myself off to a quiet place (even if it's just a place within me) Then just Be still. Be still oh my soul, I tell my self, be still. It is hard to do When feeling ill at ease. But Listen! Listening. Listeninginginging in inwards Listening outwards, Listen all around. Acknowledgement that I am powerless, In other words humbling myself. Listen, listening: Awareness. Continuously. Whatever you want to call that. Meditation, contemplation, prayer, Gratefulness, mindfulness, movement, stillness, Whatever takes you or me to that sacred and special place That inspires humility and growth. That's where I find my peace. My relationship with God, Earth, Other and Myself. My human relationships are as important Because I believe we can't have the One without the Other.
World peace, Earth peace, Human peace: We all want it, It starts with us, It starts with in us, It is within our grasp. I hope We will find Peace.
Take care and have a good week,

Thank You xxx

Beautiful poem Morag β€οΈ. I also find peace knowing that my life is fully in my Father’s hands … the fact that He is in control of my life makes me content (and fills my heart with peace).

A lovely reflective poem! We have two eyes and two ears, but only one mouth, so even God wants us to speak less and see and listen more. It gives peace and strengthens relationships. And as you have concluded, it’s within our grip.
