What do you enjoy most about writing?

What I enjoy the most about writing
 Is working through my landscape
 Of my inner world with words.. 
Be it thoughts, 
Feelings or observations, 
As well as dreams.
I do this by recording them. 
As I write, thoughts 
Come to the tips of my fingers 
And spill out onto the page. 
Sometimes I am writing to myself 
And sometimes to you, 
Whoever you may be, 
Because this is how 
I love connecting with others. 
These words have a life of their own, 
Flowing, mostly with ease, 
Becoming stories, poems, 
Parcels of encouragement and more. 
Flowing from me to you 
And back through your responses
I myself don't always know what is in store. 
That's what communication is all about;
And that's what I enjoy most about writing.

  4. You mention something very true here Morag: That when you start writing, you don’t always know where your thoughts will take you. Sometimes the end of my story is also a surprise for me 😉. But it’s a fact that writing is one of the best ways for me to pen down my thoughts.

  11. I can really relate to this. Put your thoughts down on paper helps to give you a sense of clarity and, often, self-understanding. Like you, I often don’t know where the writing will take me, and that’s all part of the adventure!
