Sometimes it’s best to work with what is happening in one’s body than to fight it. Let your body heal, treat it kindly, and give your mind some freedom from all the shoulds, have to’s and expectations. Hold yourself with Compassion and Kindness. Blaming, shaming and guilt are cruel. They don’t get you anywhere. What do you need? Rest. A pause. Embrace. Awareness. Direction. Inspiration. Vision. A plan. Brew a cup of tea and let it be. Tomorrow is another day.
Sick in bed
Got a sore head
Think I might sleep
But not a wink
Think I might read
Words do shrink
I can't see
Even if I blink
I guess I have to accept
I can't do what I expect
I will brew a cup of tea
And let it be.
Tomorrow is another day.
We all get sick, some of us more than others. We’re human. I think of all those with autoimmune diseases which they struggle with daily. They have up days and down days. Tired times and productive times. It’s a hard journey finding out how to cope. Letting go of what was or might have been yet still hanging voraciously onto hope of living a meaningful life.
Have a good day
Morag Noffke
I hope that you are well and just sharing support for others with chronic illness. Have a beautiful day! Hugs!

Thank you for your concern and wishes. I am ill today but not with an autoimmune illness just getting over some asthma, lungs are not good at the moment so I am having a cup of tea or three and resting today. But I also know of people who have autoimmune illness and I am very mindful of them too. ππ

Tomorrow is another day, most definitely, Morag, …and living with chronic illness must be so wearing on the soul, as well as the body, β¦but as you say, β¦be kind to yourself hopefully things will improve, if only infinitesimally, β¦ wishing you a pain free and uplifting day, β¦(((hugs))) π

This is such a good reminder to take care of ourselves, as we would a loved one, to stop pushing and just be gentle. The world can be harsh enough at times… We need not add to that. Please take care and feel better soon… Rest, rest, rest. π

The most important person is the one you see in the mirror, so caring for yourself should always come first. Medicines can help, but theyβre not the ultimate solution. Our bodies often know how to heal themselves if we give them time and rest. I truly admire your positive outlook when you say, βTomorrow is another day.β Wishing you a gentle and speedy recovery.

Thank you, that’s so true our bodies often know how to heal themselves with time and rest. Medicine can and I agree it’s not the ultimate solution… We are such complex creatures…and all avenues must be observed and considered. I am truly touched by your well wishes…π€
