Considering my routes The roots of forget-me-not Start at the very beginning Mother, Creator, Great Witness, Watched over me; my ways And how I was formed. Loved me into being Every step of the way. Grandmothers come before Mothers, And great Grandmothers before, Watching hands, waiting in patience Heart glowing with pride. It just takes one day One crack, one smash For forget-me-nots To come splintering, clattering pummeled and pounded down In pieces - Obliterated. And it takes one Compassionate witness To uncrumple the pieces And help put them back together... If not a mother A kind friend Will be the place maker For the Pace Maker. I am grateful For every Place Maker In my life.
Forget me not flowers Remind me of you, Thinking about you, Never far from my mind, You teach me so many things And how to be kind, Walking in the breeze Reminds me to breathe, Just like when you first gave me life; Breathing with ease, I embrace it all. Now my vision expands, Like a billion laughing peels, I will not forget how the dance of abundance feels. Freedomย Forgetย meย not.
Forget-me-nots were my mother and my grandmother’s favorite flower. This poem and little video montage I created of my simple images of forget-me-nots is first and foremost for them and others. I is my way of remembering those who have nurtured me on my journey.
Take care,
Morag.

Thank you for reading and commenting. I enjoyed just remembering and the flowers are like a memento, like in the days when we pressed flowers and leaves as momentos.๐ธ๐บ๐
