Write what’s on your mind, that’s my motto at the moment.
Today, I was sitting next to the Tweed River in front of our house, after going for a lunchtime walk. The sun shone warmly. I was resting my mind from the mornings’ research and thinking. Across the river were sheep grazing in the fields. Itβs been lambing season so there are lots of babies romping around. Once they come back and they locate their mother the kids have an enthusiastic reunion as they feed. I put a poem to my thoughts β¦
You who have given me life
And sustains me daily
You are my true source of Joy
And comfort.
In your comfort I find my peace.
And the Rock beneath my feet
keeps me steady and sure.
I join with the birdsong
To express my gratitude
And I join the sheep grazing
In green pastures;
The quiet river laps
Close by my home.
I live in Your flow
I am an unassuming soul.
Come let’s all live in the Flow.
A side note: minutes after I came back home the hail thundered down and now it is sunny again. I love the unpredictable changes in nature. It keeps me humble. What do you love about nature?
Take care
~Morag Noffke~
I showed it on my Blog.

A lovely poem, Morag. I’m reminded of a song that would be sung, on the bus with the church choir, returning from their annual day’s outing at the coast or to a lovely countryside location.
All in the April morning,April airs were abroad; The sheep with their little lambsPass’d me by on the road.
Okay, we’re in May, but the words and the beautiful tune are wonderful. I wonder if you know it? Sung by a choir, it is glorious.

It’s available on Prime but when I heard that Criterion was going to produce the DVD I pre-ordered a copy – which I have in my library. I published a Post on the movie, which is one of the most magickal films I’ve ever seen:

A beautiful ode to life and all things, and Iβm jealous, Morag, so close to a river, with all that nature has to offer in view, β¦marvellous. I love sitting in the garden, enveloped in its green hug and listening to the various birdsong, theyβre always so uplifting. Take care too, my friend, β¦ and yes, live in the Flow, β¦ππ€

Thank you, I am so blessed to be living here. Sometimes I need to pinch myself to check if I am dreaming. I think we might be kindred garden spirits. ππ€

I can see the influence of the scene you describe influenced your poem, Morag. They go hand in hand. It must have been a beautiful sight.
Glad you were able to dodge the hail. Here in Florida, we have pop up rain showers that occur during the summer. It can be raining over my house and the sun shining over my next door neighbor’s house. π

Thank you, yes this place and it’s beauty has a great influence on me and my soul. Your weather sounds warm, sunny and occasionally rainy. That’s more like Cape Town weather most of the time, although they get winter rain mostly. Thank you for visiting my post Richard. ππ
