Time for rest
Time to dream
To percolate
To breathe
To listen
Time for no thoughts
Blank slate
Open vistas
New canvas
Silence
Shshshsh
Opportunity lies waiting
Ahead ~ no sign
Of anything
The pause
Before the sound.
Buds turn to flowers
Flowers to fruit
Serendipitous fruit
Of any kind
Your choice
Shshshsh
Old Breath breathed out
Before inhalation of new life
It's good to stop
And be aloneEmbrace it.Sometimes being so busy keeps us tapping into cortisol and when the continuous activities stop it feels crazy. Like we don't know what to do with ourselves.
Some people say 'oh I can't be alone with myself ' and others say 'i must be depressed '. It's not true, you are not depressed and nothing is wrong with you, you have just forgotten how to sit in quiet surrender.
Feel the discomfort of peace, quiet and stillness. Hold your busy mind and just notice all that is around you: the sounds, the sights, the world rushing by. All is well.
It's like coming back to yourself. Greet yourself with kindness. Notice with appreciation all that you have done, all those who love you, and notice these things with joy.
There's no need to busy yourself just yet. Take time to pause. Anywhere. In a forest, at the sea, river, garden or a quiet corner will do.
Wishing you all a light and peaceful weekend

I love this post. THANK YOU for your reminder to pause and sit with ourselves. Deep breath in. Deep breath out.

Tims for a pause are always refreshing, Morag. Living it in the moment after a week on the road!

This lands deep, Morag.
We’re taught that busy = alive, but you’re right—sometimes we just forget how to sit with ourselves
